This past Saturday night UFC legend Anderson Silva (33-4) destroyed Stephan Bonnar (15-8) at the HSBC Arena in Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. In the first round, Silva landed a perfectly placed knee to the solar plexus. Bonnar hit the canvas and Silva put him away. The bout was called off at 4:40 of round one.
As expected, Bonnar did not provide much of a challenge. Silva now turns his eyes towards a more formidable challenge.

Tarver Suspension Upheld
On Monday the California State Athletic Commission voted 4-1 to uphold a one-year suspension it gave former light heavyweight champion Antonio Tarver in June after he tested positive for an anabolic steroid. Tarver tested positive after his bout with Lateef Kayode on June 2 at the Home Depot Center in Carson, California.
