I liked it...and I like the VIOLENCE and GORE of the movie. Like you, I thought it was going to be stupid...but I went anyway.

"In an industrial facility, two technicians are preparing for their day on an unknown operation. Meanwhile, five friends are preparing for their trip to a remote cabin owned by Kurt's cousin. On the way, they stop for gas and have an encounter with the strange local who owns the gas station. While drinking and relaxing at the cabin, they discover a basement filled with interesting artifacts. Together, they must discover the truth behind the cabin in the woods."

Like Valentino says above, I was vague in order not to reveal anything.

My thoughts on it was that it was a perfect balance of poking fun at the genre and a good horror film. Can't explain more without going into plot, which would be easily ruined.

It was not bad...not great (I think they tried too hard on being "original")...but not bad.

The Thor guy was still unknown when he starred in this movie.

He was unknown...which I am sure got the producers into the $$$$$$!!!
