A zombie apocalypse does nothing for me.
Now a robot takeover a la Terminator is a different story...or an extraterrestrial invasion...you are dealing with a highly intelligent force with advanced technology.
But dumb rotting corpses?
Come on now...

lol. i see you are not very educated in zombie-science. In Moodys "Autumn"-epos for example they dont rot that much. The skin turns into leather-skin and they start to develop something like iq and they are able to learn. So your dumb-argument is wrong.
In Monchinskis "Eden" there are three categories of zombies....the slow and dumb ones, the sprinter..very fast and dont need to do a break during runnings and the thinkers...the ones that got a little iq. So your argument "slow" is obsolete.
And in the Brooks-Books there are a lot of theories why the zombie-apocalypse never would end (one theory is that in the very cold places...for example winter-regions or temporary winter-season-regions the zombies just freeze and when the warm temperature come back or the climatic change takes place new zombies come back, bite ppl and the apocalypse start again..but this is just one theory. This guy rocks in zombie-questions;-)
And wtf do your robots when its raining and rust will take control over their bodies? lol.
Come on man, let us the good old zombie apocalypse. They rock;-)John Carpenters

I find it hilarious that a guy who loves superhero's so much he has a big ass doll collection of them is crapping on zombies. Sure, the walking dead can never happen, but some fool in tights who shoots webs from his wrists, or some jackass who looks like a silver Goldust flying around on a freakin' surf board of all things...that's logical.

lol. i was laughing while reading this.
And "the walking dead" got more real points than the avengers;-) Some people believe that voodo-priests are able to let the dead walk...but i never heard from a priest that was able to create superheroes. hahaha. This whole discussion about the reality-check is funny stuff.
I love the zombie-storys and i love superhero-stuff. But i would never criticize someone because he likes this stuff or that stuff. It doesnt matter in the end if it is zombie-stuff, superhero-stuff, robot-stuff, virus-stuff, alien-stuff or whatever...everything is not very possible in real life (ok the virus-stuff makes think..)...just let yourself entertain from this fairytales;-)Last updated by Redneck; December 8th, 2010 at 02:24 PM.

Walking Dead
I see lots of movie reviews not really any reviews on some kick ass tv series. I got hooked on this one lately. I know it has short episodes(season 1 only six). But I'm really enjoying. Just got done watching season 2(first half) and with new episodes starting this month I cant wait.
What other series are you all watching?
Some of my other favorites
Sopranos
Lost
Prison Break
Forgiveness is next to Godlyness

I saw the first season of it. I really liked it.
Sopranos is not bad but i never followed the series much...i just watched here and there an episode and i think you need to watch it more constantly to get the spirit.
Lost is bullshit for me. I started watching the first episodes of the first season and after 4-5 episodes i got the feeling that it is like all the hospital-series or daily soaps. Maybe i am wrong but i never saw the hype of that series.
Prison Break is one of the best series i ever watched. I saw every single episode of that series and i really loved it. Just too bad that it was so short (just this 4 seasons..)
Another series i really enjoyed and watched every episode is 24. I saw all 8 seasons of it and the movie-episode "redemption". Jack Bauer rules..John Carpenters

Its something total different. You cant compare those two series. Most people like 24 very much but there are also a few that dont like it. I liked it a little more than Prison Break because sometimes the twists in Prison Break were too much. 24 is always very action-packed. I caught me somtimes that i wanted to watch the whole season without a break (what is not possible..lol..you can only watch 1-2 episodes the evening because 2 episodes got the length of a movie.).
Give it a try...if you like the first season you know its something for you...if not dont watch the other seasons. For me all seasons are great stuff (maybe the first season is one of the weakest..i dont know).John Carpenters
