JDS\Cain was a fight between the Top 2 Heavyweights in MMA. On free TV. The way the fight turned out is irrelevant. You got the best possible heavyweight fight the sport had to offer, a clear PPV main event worthy fight, on free TV.

Really, you want more than that?

Nevermind the 20 or so cards on free TV since the Silva-Maia fight.

Since the Maia/silva fight there have been several UFC events for free not including the JDS/Cain fight. And with this UFC on Fox, UFC on Fuel & UFC on FX, the UFC has more than made up for Silva's bullshit.

Yeah, the outcome isn't the point. It was the biggest possible HW fight at the time. And it was on free TV.
