We're gonna see what kind of drawing power Lesnar has left, because nobody is buying this PPV for the undercard.

Casual fans may just order it because it's the opportunity to catch some fights and chug some cold ones prior to celebrating New Year's Eve.

I just read about it this morning. Free is always a good thing. Wish I had known about it.

Diaz - Cerrone will be good, both like to push the pace.

I'm really having a hard time picturing Overeem winning this fight. I understand his stand up is elite, but I see no scenario that involves Lesnar standing and trading with Overeem. Overeem's best chance is to catch Lesnar with a knee while Lesnar is shooting for a takedown.
I see Lesnar taking down Overeem, riding him until Reem gasses, then pounding him out.
Of course, Overeem will always have a puncher's chance, but if Lesnar allows himself to get into a striking match, he deserves to lose.

Overeem will catch him in the early rounds. If Lesnar does manage to take him down and hold him there for a round, I see Overeem catching him the next time they stand up.
I think too many Lesnar fans are hoping Overeem gasses out. Did you guys ever consider he (Overeem) may have actually done some serious training for this bout?

He looks like he trains for every bout, big deal. If he has Lesnar on top of him the first round he will gas out quicly. Overeem might catch Lesnar while standing but Lesnar has a good chance of winning with wrestling and pounding him out. Overeem's chin isn't the best either.

So you think that he has just gassed out early his whole entire career and is sudeenly going to stop? That seems more like hope than having anything to back it up. Overeem's stamina has always been trash, not sure why you think that suddenly changes. He needs to win pretty quickly if he is to win. It's possible he hits hard and Brock hates getting hit but I see him getting taken down and smashed.

When you are on top stamina is less of an issue. Overeem isn't a real good wrestler either so he is likely to get taken down unless he ends it VERY early.

The thing is, Lesnar doesn't even have to do much when he takes Overeem down besides smother him and let Reem wear himself out. If Lesnar scores the takedown, he shouldn't go balls out trying to pound Overeem out, just ride him, take enough shots not to be stood up, and let Overeem gas himself trying to escape.
If they are stood up, Overeem will be that much easier to take down again. About midway through the 2nd round, if the fight lasts that long, Overeem will be totally gassed and open to be GNP'd or even subbed like Carwin.
If this fight happened 2 years ago, I would be more apt to pick Overeem, but now that Lesnar has been humbled and doesn't mistakenly think of himself as an MMA level striker, he should fight a much smarter fight.

When was the last time Overeem got taken down?

He was taken down a couple of times by Werdum if I remember correctly. Although, Werdum took him down into his guard, which isn't what Lesnar will do.
Also remember, Lesnar has been able to take every fighter he has fought down. And I don't see Overeem having the success escaping that Cain did.

Both are dumb meatheads but should be a fun fight while it lasts. Staredown should be epic.

I imagine Overeem winning more via offensive grappling or ground and pound of his own rather than a big strike.
I'll bet on him hitting a reversal and winning from there.

He pulled guard. Not the same as a takedown. It can be just as advantageous(see Aoki-Kawajiri), but not in Brock Lesnar's case.
