Loved the card last night. It had a little bit of everything from Yamamoto looking like garbage AGAIN to the kick by Pettis to the comeback KO by Boetsch to Jake Shields ACTUALLY giving Okami a boxing lesson to Frankie Edgar getting robbed.
In each round Edgar out-wrestled and out struck Henderson. I'm honestly not sure how that isn't enough to win the fight.
Great night of fights, but in my opinion the ME was worthy of the 'robbery' label.
And one last thing, has Joe Rogan lost his mind? First the dude claims that the 2 judo throws by Sexyama made the Shields fight close. Second, did he really call the Tim Boetsch comeback 'the greatest comeback in MMA history"??? Even better, early in the first round of the Cantwell-Fakuda fight, "This is the best Steve Cantwell we've ever seen." LOL
The dude is losing it.

The announcing from both Goldberg and Rogan was incredibly bad last night. From Rogan yelling and screaming like Mickey Mouse on Speed, to Goldberg claiming going into the last round of the main event that take downs between the fighters were even.
It wasn't a good night for them.

Yeah These guys are horrible. They are nothing more than UFC cheerleaders.

Edgar wasn't robbed. A 3-2 Henderson is conceivable considering he nearly KOd Edgar with an upkick and almost choked him out too. When was Henderson ever in trouble?
Taking someone down for a few seconds and not being able to keep them there is outwrestling someone?
Hitting someone with love taps while never hurting them is more impressive than ripping someone's face to shreds whilst almost putting them away several times?
Edgar is an easy guy to root for but to say last night's fight was a robbery is homerism at its best IMO.

I can tell you judged the fight based on blood like the judges must have. 90% of Frankie's busted up face was the result of a single up kick that landed after Edgar had Henderson on his back for exactly 45 seconds. Nothing like not being able to keep him there.
And the other laughable thing is the idea that Henderson almost put Edgar away "several" times is moronic. Edgar was hurt by the up kick but that was the only time he was in danger. You've got to stop listen to Rogan. Edgar wasn't in trouble during the choke attempt. Just because Rogan screams " Edgar's in deep trouble because Henderson's guillotine is one of the best" doesn't mean Edgar was in trouble.
And yes, taking a guy down 5 out of 12 times compared to 1 take down is out wrestling him in my opinion. Not to mention, despite Henderson getting back up, he got back up with Edgar on his back 3 of 5 times.

Truth be told, Henderson wasn't giving Edgar any problems at all before the upkick, and had it not landed, Edgar would've probably won a 5-0 decision. And if there is a rematch, that's exactly what I see happening.

Edgar actually did even better after the upkick with more takedowns and a knockdown.

Edgar has come out and said he would like to remain at 155 and get an immediate rematch. The man deserves it considering the fight was close and the fact that he was forced to give immediate rematches in recent years.
I'm glad he's not going to allow the UFC to pimp him out at featherweight.
